Welcome
to BWC-Marbon
We have been sadden to learn that Joe Sakash died Sunday
, April 4, 2010 at his home in Vero Beach, FL.
Terry Hunt talked
to Leah's daughter, Frankie. She says the cause of death
has not yet been determined. Joe will be buried in
Parkersburg but the family has not planned the details
yet except that they expect
Levitt Funeral Home to handle the funeral.
The Parkersburg News has published an article on Joe and
his life. (click

The family will be going to
Parkersburg shortly so Frankie requests any cards of
condolence be sent to the funeral home. Many of us
worked closely with Joe and have seen him regularly at
the bookshop or BWC lunch's or reunions in recent years.
We'll miss him. Once we get more details, we will
pass it on.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to
Joe and his family.

This
website is about “an Uncommon Success Story” of a
company, its people, products and customers that became
one of the most respected and preferred in the plastics
industry. Known as Marbon and later as Borg Warner
Chemicals, this site is dedicated to those of us who
were honored and fortunate to have lived it.
The
purpose is to provide a means to communicate this story,
provide contact with alumni, announce events, reunions
and personnel information. It is intended that the
website be a repository of stories, history, events,
photos and other memorabilia.
Promoted and funded by key senior managers, the website
is organized to provide input for the primary functions
and geographic organizations. Each has a “gatekeeper”
that is the key to obtain, organize and coordinate their
section.
The
website is dynamic and will continue to grow and change
with the inputs of the alumni. We have intentionally
launched the site with its incomplete sections. The
website is no more than the product of the contributions
from individual alumni. We expect the alumni and
gatekeepers will promote input to tell this story.
The
Uncommon Success of this company and it’s people was
always the individual efforts focused on outstanding
results. You are the alumni, this is your story and you
now have the means to share.
Special recognition to Terry Hunt who provided the
vision, instigated, promoted and arranged funding for
the BWC-Marbon website.
